For those of you interested in a more 'in depth analysis', here are some facts and figures of the 2nd Tile Hog tournament.
We had a total of 616 Hu!'s - Désirée and Hans each scored 16, Adrie and Laurent scored 15 each. There where 152 self picks, almost 1 in 4 - Gerda had 7 self picks, Lionel, Hans and Janco Onnink each had 3 in one round, Janco scored a hatrick.
Highest Hu! values today: 81 points for Alexander Doppelhofer and 73 for Franz Korntner. Highest self picks: Eline West 59 (x3 = 177) and Zeger de Jong 54. Most self picks on one table: table 2 in round 3 - 5 from 9 and table 2 in round 2 - 6 from 11.
Some tables where very close: table 5 in round 4 - +58 / +56 for 1st and 2nd; table 17 in round 1 - +29 / + 25 / +23 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd...
A total of almost 30.000 mahjongpoints was noted, which is 48,5 per Hu! Corrected for self pick and 24 basepoints, 9.765 net mahjongpoints remained, which means an average value of 15,9 for a winning hand (value). Lionel gathered 767 points with his 12x Hu!; number last, Dimphy only scored 73 points with her 2x Hu! Rien Viergever had the highest average for the day: 31,2 points, André Rijnders averaged only 10,5 points with his hands.
